This privacy policy applies from 13h of April 2022.

We take great care protecting your privacy. Therefore, please pay close attention to this Privacy Policy (the "Privacy Policy").

This Privacy Policy describes in detail how we collect, use, store and, where applicable, share your personal information in respective activities performed by our non-profit organization. We, the operator of the processing of your personal data, are the SlovakiaTech, non-profit association , with its registered office at Štefánikova 41, 811 04 Bratislava - Mestská časť Staré Mesto, ID number: 45 742 880. If the term "we" or "SIA" is used anywhere in this Privacy Policy, it means the SlovakiaTech, non-profit association  (SLOVAK INVESTMENT AGENCY).

For clarity purposes, this Privacy Policy does not apply to and does not govern the use of non-personal data. Thus, the data of legal entities that are not compatible with an identifiable natural person are primarily outside the scope of this Privacy Policy.

For the purposes of these Privacy Policy, the following terms have the following meanings:

"Personal Data" means any personal data that relates to a specific living individual who is identifiable or may be identified by means of the data and that we process for any of the purposes set forth in this Privacy Policy.

"Operator" means a specific person who determines the purpose of processing Personal Data, with respect to this Privacy Policy. We, the SIA organization, are the operator.

"Pseudonymised data" means information and data on all persons concerned or on respective categories and groups of persons concerned, which are anonymised and processed in a form which no longer allows a specific natural person to be identified without the use of additional data.

“Intermediary” means a person other than the Operator in a given case, who processes Personal Data on behalf of the Operator in a specific case.

"GDPR Regulation" means Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and the EU  Council dated 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data.

"Portal" means websites and their parts located on the domain http://slovakiatech.sk/, which we operate.

"Personal Data Protection Act" means Act no. 18/2018 Coll. on the protection of personal data and on the amendment of certain laws. 

We process your Personal Data in accordance with the GDPR and the Personal Data Protection Act.

As the Operator, we will process the following Personal Data about you:

 E-mail Adress  We will obtain your e-mail address from you in particular with respect to filling in our forms and questionnaires, which are available on the Portal or will be available physically. These forms and questionnaires can be used, for example, to register for conferences or to subscribe to updates and marketing news.

We will process your e-mail address information about you even if you decide to contact us via your e-mail or inform us of your e-mail address in the course of mutual communication.

Name and Surname  We will obtain your e-mail address from you in particular in connection with filling in our forms and questionnaires, which are available on the Portal or will be available physically.

We will process data about your name and surname about you even if you decide to communicate them to us in mutual communication.

Title (academic) We will obtain information about your title (education) from you, especially in connection with filling in our forms and questionnaires, which are available on the Portal or will be available physically.

We will process data about your title about you even if you decide to communicate it to us in mutual communication.

Correspondence Address  We will obtain your correspondence address from you in particular in connection with the completion of our forms and questionnaires, which are available on the Portal or will be physically available.

We will process information about your correspondence address even if you decide to communicate it to us in mutual communication or send us a document from the given address.

Phone Number  We will obtain a phone number from you primarily with respect to filling in our forms and questionnaires, which are available on the Portal or will be available physically.

We will process information about your phone number even if you decide to notify us in mutual communication or you will be contacting us from your telephone number.

Job or other Classification

In connection with filling in the forms and obtaining entry from you, we will also obtain information from you about which entity you are acting on behalf of (company business name, name of organizations, etc.), or whether you act as a private or public entity and what your job position within the entity is.

Your Likeness (Photo or Audiovisual recording We will process your likeness if you decide to attend a conference we organize, as the conferences produce photographs and / or audiovisual recordings for information, promotional and security purposes.

General Information about your Device used to Access the Portal In particular, information on relevant hardware and software parameters, without which your device is not able to correctly display the pages of our Portal. We obtain these every time you log in to the Portal as necessary data to enable your access to the Portal.

The IP address of your device used to access the Portal The IP address of the device that you used to log in to the Portal. We will obtain this information every time you log in, and without it it is not possible to enable your access to the Portal.

The IP address of your device does not allow us to determine your exact location and only serves to identify your device.

Portal access time We obtain this data as part of the data from the Portallogs, and we obtain it every time you access the Portal. The access data does not pair up directly with your person but with the device you used to access the Portal.

The method of processing your Personal Data and the legal basis for the processing

 As the Operator, we process your Personal Data to the extent and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and for the purposes set out below in this Privacy Policy.

Organization and participation in conferences

Purpose of Processing We process your Personal Data provided when you send your registration to our conferences in order to identify you as a party to the contract established by registration for the conference and with the purpose of organizing the conference itself.

Method of Processing Your personal data with respect to e-mail address, correspondence address, telephone number, title, name and surname, work or other equipment is processed by storing in our information system in order to identify you as a person interested in attending the conference or a person authorized to attend the conference.

Your Personal Data will also be made available to the conference organizers.

Legal Basis Legal basis for processing Personal Data in the range of e-mail address, correspondence address, telephone number, title, work or other classification, name and surname is the performance of the contract to which you are a party (legal basis under Article 6 (1) (b) of the GDPR Regulation) expressing an interest in participating in or participating in a conference.

Processing Time Your Personal Data provided in connection with participation in the conference will be processed and stored for a period of 4 years after the conference.

Ensuring the Promotion and Security of the Conference

 Purpose of Processing

Your title, name and surname, e-mail address, correspondence address, job or other classification will also be processed for the purpose of promoting our conferences and ensuring security at these conferences.

Method of Processing We will process your title, name and surname, e-mail address, correspondence address, job or other classification and likeness in our information systems.

Photographs and audiovisual recordings are made at our conferences, which are necessary to ensure the success of the conference and to achieve the purpose pursued by its organization. These photos and audiovisual recordings will be published in various ways and will also be used in our promotional materials.

In addition to photographs and audiovisual recordings, camera recordings of security systems will be made to ensure the protection of the life, health and property of conference participants.

If you attend the conference, your likeness can be captured on these camera recordings, photographs and other audiovisual recordings.

For the purpose of promotion, we may publish information about your participation in the conference on the Portal and promotional materials, while the information will include your name and surname, or a brief description of your activities and position.

Your Personal Data will be provided to the persons arranging the conference in order to maintain the order in the place of its organization and in order to inform you and other conference participants about the organizational instructions and the program of the conference.

Legal Basis The legal basis for the processing of Personal Data in this case is our legitimate interest in ensuring the promotion and security of the conference (legal basis under Article 6 (1) (f) of the GDPR Regulation).

Processing Time Your Personal Data provided in connection with ordering the Services will be processed and stored for:

 * 10 years after the conference with respect to photography and audiovisual records for promotional purposes and information about your participation in the event;

  *  30 days after the conference with respect to security records.

The above does not preclude the processing of personal data for an extended period of time if necessary for archiving purposes.

Answering questions, requests, questions  Purpose of Processing

Your Personal data in the range of name, surname, e-mail address and possibly all other data that you decide to communicate to us via e-mail or otherwise we process for the purpose of contacting you as well as for the purpose of processing your question, request or inquiry or to perform other activities related to your question, request or inquiry.

Method of Processing Your Personal Data will be processed in a manner that the content of your message containing the question, request or inquiry is stored in our information system and subsequently the content is made available to a person who is responsible for handling the question, request or inquiry within our organizational structure.

Legal Basis The legal basis for the processing of Personal Data in this case is our legitimate interest in ensuring the proper services of the organization (legal basis under Article 6 (1) (f) of the GDPR Regulation).

Processing Time Your Personal Data will be processed for the time necessary to answer your question, request or inquiry or if other measures are taken in connection with your question, request or inquiry, but no longer than 1 year.

 Processing of requests in connection with the exercise of the rights of data subjects under the GDPR

Purpose of Processing We process your Personal Data in the scope of name, surname, e-mail address and any other data that you choose to communicate to us via e-mail or otherwise for the purpose of reviewing, assessing, performing activities, processing and informing you about the processing of your request regarding the application of some of the rights under Articles 16 to 22 of the GDPR.

Method of Processing Your Personal Data will be processed in such a way that the content of your request message is stored in our information system and subsequently the content is made available to a person who is in charge of processing the request within our organizational structure.

Legal Basis The legal basis for the processing of Personal Data in this case is the fulfillment of our legal obligation (legal basis under Article 6 (1) (c) of the GDPR Regulation).

Processing Time In this case, your Personal Data will be processed and stored for the period of processing your request and subsequently for a period of 10 years after the date of its processing.

Operation of the Portal and access to its functions

Purpose of ProcessingWe process your Personal Data such as the IP address or basic data about your device necessary to display the content of the Portal to the extent necessary to enable your access to the Portal and the use of its functions.

Method of Processing Your Personal Data is processed automatically in our information system, upon which the operation of the Portal is ensured. The information system will need to know at least some basic information about your settings in order to display the required content of the Portal.

Legal Basis The legal basis for the processing of Personal Data is the necessity of such processing for the purpose of enabling access to the Portal and the function of the Portal requested by you (legal basis pursuant to Article 6 (1) (b) of the GDPR Regulation).

Processing Time Your Personal Data provided in connection with the operation of the Portal and its functions will be processed for the duration of your access to the Portal and subsequently as pseudonymized data after leaving the Portal.

 Direct Marketing Messaging (Newsletter)

Purpose of ProcessingWe also process your personal data in the scope of title, name, surname and e-mail address for the purpose of sending direct marketing messages (newsletter) to your e-mail address, so that we can inform you about news and offers from us and our partners.

The condition for sending these messages is subscribing to direct marketing news (newsletter) or expressing interest in our services in the form of registration for the conference or sending  notification about the start date of registration.

Method of Processing We process your Personal Data in a manner that it be stored in our information system for purposes of contacting you with direct marketing messages, as well as to record whether our messages have already been sent to you in order to prevent re-sending of already delivered direct marketing messages.

Legal BasisIf you have expressed an interest in our services (by expressing interest in conferences or by subscribing to news), then the legal basis for processing Personal Data in this case is our legitimate interest in the implementation of direct marketing in order to offer you information you have expressed interest in by signing up (legal basis under Article 6 (1) (f) of the GDPR Regulation).

If you have given us consent to the sending of direct marketing messages by clicking on the appropriate box on the Portal or another consent method published by us, the legal basis for processing your direct marketing messages will be your consent (legal basis under Article 6 (1) (a)).

By unsubscribing from direct marketing messages or revoking your consent to the sending of direct marketing messages, our legal basis will expire on the day of withdrawal of consent, including unsubscribing to the sending of news and updates.

You can revoke your consent to the processing of Personal Data at any time by sending your notice of revoking your consent to the e-mail: jerglova@slovakiatech.sk or to the address of our registered office. You may also partially withdraw your consent to the processing of Personal Data.

Processing Time

We will process your Personal Data for this purpose for a period of 10 years from its provision or until you unsubscribe from sending messages for the purposes of direct marketing (newsletter), or withdraw your consent.

 Direct marketing messaging (newsletter) of our partners

Purpose of Processing We will also process your name and surname, email address, telephone number and job or other classification, for the purpose of providing this data to our partners listed on the Portal (link when granting consent). These partners will send you their direct marketing messages if you give us your consent to provide your personal data to these subjects.

The condition for sending these messages is the granting of your consent to direct marketing messages (newsletter), which will contain consent to the sending of our messages.

Method of Processing Your name and surname, email address, telephone number and job or other classification will be stored in our information system and shared with our conference partners to allow that they contact you with direct marketing messages, and also to enable us to record whether our messages have already been sent to you in order to prevent re-sending direct marketing messages already received.

Legal BasisThe legal basis for the processing of your Personal Data for the direct marketing of our Partners is your consent (legal basis under Article 6 (1) (a) of the GDPR Regulation).

By unsubscribing from direct marketing messages or revoking your consent to the sending of direct marketing messages, our legal basis will expire on the day of withdrawal of consent, or unsubscribing to news and updates.

You can revoke your consent to the processing of Personal Data at any time by sending your notice of revocation of consent to the e-mail: jerglova@slovakiatech.sk or to the address of our registered office. You may also partially withdraw your consent to the processing of Personal Data.

Processing time We will process your Personal Data for this purpose for a period of 10 years from its provision or until you unsubscribe from sending messages for the purposes of direct marketing (newsletter),  or until you withdraw your consent.

Disclosure of Personal Data to Third Parties

 We will make your Personal data available to third parties in the following cases:

Legal ObligationIf such an obligation arises from valid legal regulations, especially at the request of law enforcement authorities, courts, other public authorities or other authorized persons, we will provide your Personal Data to the above-mentioned persons.

Fulfillment of Obligations If it is necessary for the performance of our duties and in securing our legitimate interests, especially our lawyers, consultants, auditors, IT service providers, marketing and advertising agencies, etc., we will provide your Personal Data to these persons to the necessary extent. These persons will normally act as intermediaries.

Consent to Third Party MarketingIf you have given us consent to receive marketing messages from our partners, your personal data will also be provided to third parties listed in the list of partners on our Portal.

In accordance with the GDPR Regulation, we enter into agreements on the processing of personal data with persons who have the status of Intermediary, and the Intermediaries always process Personal Data on the basis of instructions and on behalf of the SIA. All of our Brokers process Personal Data in accordance with these Privacy Terms.

 Transfer of Personal Data outside the EU We do not transfer your Personal Data outside the European Economic Area, should this happen in the future, we will ensure that this transfer takes place under the conditions and in the standard set by the GDPR and the Personal Data Protection Act.

Portions of the Portal Portions of the Portal may contain links to third party websites and services that we do not own or operate. We have no control over such websites and their services. These websites may use their own tools to obtain information and data about you, including your Personal Data.

Your Rights Regarding Personal Pata protection

As a subject whose Personal Data we process, you have the following rights:

The right to Withdraw ConsentIn cases where we process your Personal Data on the basis of your consent, you have the right to revoke this consent at any time. You can revoke the consent electronically atmiskovova@slovakiatech.sk. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing of Personal Data that we have processed about you upon its basis.

Right of Access You have the right to obtain a copy of the Personal Data we have about you, as well as information about how we use your Personal Data. In most cases, your Personal Data will be provided to you in writing, unless you require a different method. If you have requested this information by electronic means, it will be provided to you electronically, if technically possible.

Right to RepairWe take reasonable steps to ensure the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of the information we have about you. If you believe that the information we hold is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, please do not hesitate to ask us to modify, update or supplement this information.

Right of Erasure (to be forgotten)You have the right to ask us to delete your Personal Data, for example if the Personal Data we have obtained about you is no longer necessary to fulfill the original purpose of the processing. However, your right must be assessed in the light of all the relevant circumstances. For example, we may have certain legal and regulatory obligations, which means that we will not be able to comply with your request.

Right to Restrict Processing In certain circumstances, you may ask us to stop using your Personal Information. These are, for instance, when you believe that the Personal Data we hold about you may be inaccurate or that we no longer need to use your Personal Data.

Right to Data PortabilityIn certain circumstances, you have the right to request that we transfer the Personal Data you provide to us to another third party of your choice. However, the right to transfer only applies to Personal Data that we have obtained from you with your consent or under a contract  which you are a party to.

The Right to ObjectYou have the right to object to the processing of Personal Data, which is based on our legitimate interests. If we do not have a compelling reason to process and you object, we will not process your Personal Data further.

The Right to File a Motion to Initiate Proceedings on the Protection of Personal Data

In the case of submitting a proposal in electronic form, it is necessary that it meets the requirements of § 19 par. 1 of Act no. 71/1967 Coll. on Administrative Procedure (Administrative Procedure Code).

Final provisions

SecurityAll Personal Data that we collect and process is protected by appropriate technical means and security measures to prevent unauthorized access to or misuse of this Personal Data. We are constantly improving and implementing new administrative, technical and organizational measures to ensure adequate security of Personal Data.

Regardless of all our measures, it is necessary to keep in mind that data transmission over the public Internet network or any storage of electronic data cannot be 100% secure.

Changes in Privacy PolicyWe may change or modify this Privacy Policy at any time.

If we make any changes to this Privacy Policy, we will post new terms on the Portal and will notify you via email as needed.

The Privacy Policy amended in this way will be valid and effective as of the moment we set as the day of their validity and effectivity and by using the Portal (each visit to the Site) you agree to these new terms.
